Redcliffe sits on a peninsula 34 km north of the Brisbane CBD. This became the site of a penal settlement from 1823 until it was moved to the Brisbane River in 1825. Redcliffe Historical Society Museum, located in the Old Bathing Pavilion at Suttons Beach, contains a fascinating collection of memorabilia.
